
Tyler McDonald is a 4th year student at Michigan State University studying Computer Science. From a young age, he has possessed a deep passion for all things computers and technology.
Tyler has experience in a variety of programming languages, scripting languages, and frameworks such as C++, C, Java, Python, Javascript, Flutter, Dart, HTML, CSS, Spring, Bootstrap, and more. Professionally, Tyler has experience as a Undergraduate Learning Assistant for an introductory Python course where he helps students understand core programming concepts by lecturing content, and aiding students in debugging their code. He also spent this past summer as a Software Developer Intern at Auto-Owners Insurance where he worked on the Agency Interface Web Systems team. Some of his projects included refreshing pages on the company's intranet using an in-house CSS framework, creating a transaction quota validator to prevent bad-actors from acessing internal systems, and addressing bugs throughout a variety of Java applications.
This summer, Tyler will be working at Stellantis as an Information Technology Intern. He is excited to work in the auto industry as well as broaden his technological horizons.
